On 5th October 2026, Professor Jaeshik Shin of Honam Theological University and Seminary, Gwangju, South Korea, currently a visiting scholar at our university, was cordially received by Professor Zoltán Kustár, the Rector of Debrecen Reformed Theological University (DRHE).

During the meeting, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, discussions focused on the ongoing cooperation under the bilateral agreement established between our institutions in 2019 and on further opportunities for joint programs.

Professor Shin, a senior systemic theologian at Honam University and co-editor of the Korean–Hungarian Reformed Theological Forum, arrived in Debrecen to work on editing the next volume of the Theological Forum—a joint publication—with Professor Ábrahám Kovács of the Department of Dogmatic Theology at DRHE, who also participated in the meeting.

Professor Shin is staying in Debrecen until the end of October. In addition to completing current editorial tasks for the Theological Forum, he will have further meetings with university officials and faculty.
